Music Spotlight: "Vroom" by The FaNaTiX from Gran Turismo 7, featuring Idris Elba and more!

Been a while since I last posted here, but every once in a while I encounter something that is such a delight it would be a crime not to share it here. The content in question is a new song launched today by FaNaTiX, alongside the global release of Gran Turismo 7. With a slick Afrobeats vibe and extremely catchy chorus, Sony has totally flipped expectations and come up with a gem that is a perfect fit for the new Music Rally game mode introduced in the newest title. It even features the man who appears to be the Jack of all Trades, Idris Elba.

Polyphony Digital is no stranger to partnering with musicians for eccentric songs to be included in a Gran Turismo title - long-time fans of the franchise will remember when Snoop Dogg made a song for Gran Turismo 3! If you want to give Vroom a listen, click the video below:

On the other end of the scale, those who have played Gran Turismo 5 or were there for the hype leading up to launch would be very familiar with the intro song, 5OUL ON D!SPLAY. Can you believe this song is already over 13 years old?

With most of us probably listening to it hundreds, if not thousands, of times over the years, Daiki Kasho thought it would be a good idea to give the song a refresh to bring it up to date. 5OUL ON D!SPLAY 2022 certainly brings a new aura to the song, adding in new vocals and more dramatic effects.
